Publishing this webpage was inspired by a freelancer.com contest (it was less than a week to its deadline when I noticed it, & the work was not completely finished as of the deadline time, but presentable as a text/solutions for the readers, not worthless also at that time). I'm intending to keep a copy of this here (my intention for anything I craft for a contest, is likely to showcase it here, anyway), it may be a playable simulation ("game") for deciding what smart-home-gadgets you may need/want depending on your lifestyles (& I may list affiliate links to individual gadgets for DIY-friendly geeks). If the company that declared the contest would choose this, then they would have a license to host a customized copy of this suite in their own website, too, for their smart-home-integration services company.
There would be animation here, however, your browser seems not to support a canvas.

ironing out an irony -- our covid-19 situation

Because of the covid-19 coronavirus, people tend to rest (and/or work) at home, & that means they may like to improve their home entertainment (& health-monitoring, etc.) systems, & would like to watch out remotely for the security of places they do not want to go too often (whether other buildings, or even things around the house). Therefore, you could estimate the 2020 situation as favoring a smart-home-company, maybe the likes of the gold-rush in 1849 San Francisco, with the difference that now the gold doing the rushing toward us -- given that we had a 20-year-old company, a successful veteran of smart-homes, a projects-filled internet portal. However, ironically, we closed that shop & rebranded, because the situation had changed.

We simply try our best not to be a cause of virus contagion, and, at least (that is, even if you believe that destiny is already converged to & is fixed), we try/pray our role not to be in spreading but reducing the amount of virus around (ooops, oh, yes, if you believe that covid-19 is an act of the God, then, at least, we do wish that He does not make us any cause of any contagion other than against those He publicly makes known why that target was His target, & as we cannot decide about it ourselves, we simply do our best for not any spreading around of that (perhaps loveable?) coronavirus). In other words,

(1) we wear masks (& gloves and/or disinfectants@hands)
(when bare hands are necessary, disinfectants@hands is the alternative option)

(2) as distant as you wish
for that day of service, you may wait out of the house (at least, those sections), & (may comm through telephone/internet) may watch the work through CCTV that our staff feature with them (& if you install CCTV within your house (some UPS/battery within it, for continuous operation), that may facilitate your calling other kinds of service people, too, such as for repairing your refrigerator or washing machine, if needed, & even if you do not know/trust that service person a lot).

(3) the hot staff
Now that covid-19 is reportedly vanishing beyond 27degreesCelsius (=80.6degreesFahrenheit), it makes sense that we make ourselves just too hot for it, with portable heaters, such that covid-19 will not take us as travel vehicles/hosts/partners -- just cannot handle us like that. Other than wearing/carrying portable heaters, (depending on the list of best practices declared by virus-researchers) we may use air-humidifiers (optionally, with some scents/aerosol (lemon or whatever) that are suggested against viruses).

This textbox is not included in the contest-intended website itself, but listed here. My intention is to have animation data come from webserver (ajax, or so), & there, the target data/lifestyles are each similar to frozen@mid80 apps, the list of macros are spe ific to the smart-home business. A person may express the/a lifestyle/mode of a person/family, & each customer may choose multiples of them, the list sent to webserver, & webserver/PHP sends the combined results, for the animation/theLifeOfThatFamilyWithinHouseAndWhenAwayFromHouse), & the javascript/webpage renders that animation, perhaps combined with a second list of specific gadgets that fit those categories/patterns. The intermediate/ajax portion is secure, because the webserver is not running the uploaded frozen@mid80-like macro designs, nor the lists that refer to them, as those are only data there, not run as script, but arguments/materialData to script. The project may be more complete-like, shortly/day(s) after the contest deadline/June21,2020morning.
